Golden Apple Project - 2023

This competition aimed to educate 4Hers and the public about the history, taste, benefits of golden apples and the products produced from them within Barbados. 4Hers submitted their golden apple booklets in advance to be assigned points by a board of qualified judges. The board of judges consisted of: Ms. Hedda Phillips-Boyce (Education Officer - Nutrition, Ministry of Education, Technical and Vocational Training); Ms. Bernice Chase (Food Designer - International Food Science Centre, BIDC, Export Barbados). The awards ceremony was hosted on the 11th May 2023 at the Animal Nutrition Unit Conference Room, Pine Plantation Road, St. Michael  Each category (cloverbuds, juniors, seniors) held 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. Cloverbuds

Winners
First place : Ryleigh Prince Williams, Wilkie Cumberbatch Primary 4-H Club (21 marks)
Second place : Shakur Cox, Holders Hill Community 4-H Club (20 marks)
Third place : Serenity Brewster, Wilkie Cumberbatch Primary 4-H Club (19 marks)

Juniors

Winners
First place : Lamara Hoyte, St. George Lions 4-H Club (34 marks)
Second place : Raziah Gooding, Wilkie Cumberbatch Primary 4-H Club (30 marks)
Third place : Mekhi Arthur, St. George Lions 4-H Club (22.5 marks)

Seniors

First place : Zachary Bellamy, Weston United Stars Community 4-H Club (31 marks)
