Barbados 4-H Brings Christmas Cheer to QEH Children’s Ward

On 20th December 2025, the Barbados 4-H Foundation visited the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Children’s Ward, bringing gifts and Christmas cheer to young patients during the holiday season. As part of the visit, gifts were presented to children ranging from newborns to 15 years of age, with each child receiving two gifts. The initiative was organised as a way of sharing kindness and bringing joy to children and families spending the Christmas season in hospital.
The visit was supported by members of the 4-H community, including six 4-Hers, three parents and one teacher, Ms. Ann Mclean of Wilkie Cumberbatch Primary School. All four members of the Barbados 4-H administrative team, along with Ms. Jan-Yves Holder (4-H Public Relations Officer) also attended.
The visit provided 4-H members with an opportunity to demonstrate the values of service, compassion and community involvement while helping to make the festive season a little brighter for young patients.
Through activities such as the QEH Children’s Ward Visit, the Barbados 4-H Foundation continues to encourage its members to give back to their communities and live out the spirit of Head, Heart, Hands and Health in meaningful ways.
