The Barbados 4-H Foundation hosted a series of Climate Awareness Workshops on 25th October 2025 at the Oceana Innovation Hub, Bay Street, St. Michael, in partnership with Oceana Innovation Hub and 3R-CReWS.

The workshops were divided into junior and senior sessions, allowing participants to engage in age-appropriate discussions and activities. The junior workshop was held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by the senior workshop from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Participation was extended beyond 4-H to members of the Barbados Boy Scouts Association and the Girl Guides Association of Barbados, creating an opportunity for young people from different youth organisations to take part in the climate-focused sessions.

The workshops provided young people with an opportunity to strengthen their awareness of climate-related issues while encouraging greater interest in environmental responsibility and action.

Through initiatives such as the Climate Awareness Workshops, the Barbados 4-H Foundation continues to create opportunities for youth to learn, engage and become more informed about the environmental challenges affecting their communities and wider world.
